“PARK THE PHONE.” DRIVE.
Get Behind National Teen Driver Safety Week
National Teen Driver Safety Week (NTDSW) — October 17-23, 2010 is dedicated to raising awareness and seeking
solutions to unnecessary teen deaths on the road. Established by Congress in 2007 and held annually on the third week
of each October, its goal is to focus the country’s attention on this serious issue.
This year’s theme is reducing distractions. Distractions, including friends as passengers, are the No. 1 reason new drivers
crash, and car crashes are the No. 1 cause of death for adolescents.
